First off, modifications for GTA IV were never supposed to happen but due to the lack of updating the game ever since Red Dead Redemption, Max Payne 3, and other Rockstar games were released. Modifications became more and more popular to the point that everyone knew GTA IV PC for it's mods. Why did Rockstar decide to finally update the game and do this? Rockstar already knows within the next few months, the game would go back to it's state of 'filled with♥♥♥♥♥♥tons of mods' but now, with a full bug-proof multiplayer, thus reviving the GTA IV multiplayer. And why would they do such a thing? Well, of course, in 2018, it will be the tenth anniversary for GTA IV and what does Rockstar do to the GTA games when it turns 10 years old?

They remaster the game and due to the whole 'GTA 4 better than GTA 5' and 'GTA 5 better than GTA 4' arguments, about 50% of the community belives that GTA IV remastered will in fact be better than GTA V.
